    Starting from the Neolithic period, we will visit the archaeological site of Dimini, an organized community of 200-300 residents who first settled there at the end of the 5th millennium BC. There we will also find two vaulted tombs from the Mycenaean Age.
    Then we will head to the theater of ancient Demetrias (294-2 BC) where we will be informed about the significance of this city during the Macedonian period and learn about the types of ancient Greek theater and personalities that played a significant role for their development.
    Finally, we will discover one of the oldest museums in the country, the Athanassakio Archaeological Museum, which among other things houses, the sepulchral written columns of Demetrias and many Neolithic items.

    Just two hours from the city of Volos, we find the imposing rocks of Meteora, a unique geological phenomenon, which is not yet clearly understood. It is estimated that the first hermits lived in this area where wild rocks reach the sky since mid-10th AD century and the place with time became a large religious center of Orthodox monasticism. Today, there are six of the thirty total monasteries that function and have flourished there.
